The Religious Education Program is the title of our faith formation program for children from Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. That is because our goal in faith formation in the present time draws more from the model of forming disciples. We emphasize the importance of being members of the Body of Christ. Our curriculum is designed to enable our children to grow in faith through six key concepts:
* Knowledge of the Faith
* Liturgical Education
* Moral Formation
* Teaching to Pray
* Education for Community Life
* Missionary Initiation
Our St. Francis de Sales Parish Religious Education program consciously embraces the journey of faith of each of our members. We strive to enhance the life of our families as a community of unity at worship and prayer, a community in service to one another and a community echoing what it has heard and believes and catechizes most profoundly.
To meet the needs of our children Pre Kindergarten through sixth grade and families as we offer a variety of programs designed to attain those goals: Traditional classes, a multigenerational family program, a home study program, Households of Faith, and an RCIA adapted for Children program. There is also sacramental preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist.
