Becoming a Priest

When I grow up I want to…

We have many choices in life.  Sometimes the choice of what kind of coffee to get from the specialty coffee shop can be overwhelming!  Choices about life commitments of marriage, priesthood or living a single life require prayerful and thoughtful decisions often made over a number of years.  The Church believes that we are each called to a unique way of life specific to each of us and God given.  Men, are you being called to the priesthood? Women, are you being called to live in a religious community?  Even if the call sounds most like a whisper, consider talking to one of our parish staff:  Fr. Chris LaBarge, Fr. Dan Staniskis, Michele Harris, Patricia Burbage, Liza Alvarado-Mutchler or Debra Traum.
  Find contact information here.

You might also be interested in attending Come And Seek (CAS) which is an opportunity to listen more intently for that call.  It’s a meeting where young men who think the Lord may be calling them to be a priest get together to socialize, talk, and hang-out with priests.  For more information and meeting times, contact Fr. Solomon at fatherjohnsolomon@gmail.com

View a wonderful short movie that shares the real life of a priest and the importance of the ministry of priesthood to our Church:
